Ja. Atlas et Ma. Wolfson, DEPRESSION AND DISSOCIATION AS FEATURES OF BORDERLINE PERSONALITY-DISORDER IN HOSPITALIZED ADOLESCENTS, Psychological reports, 78(2), 1996, pp. 624-626
26 adolescents showing Borderline Personality Disorder were compared w
ith 12 carrying other diagnoses to clarify associated features of thes
e conditions. In Line with recent literature, the borderline adolescen
ts evidenced significant depression and dissociation, suggesting the i
mportance of evaluating instability of mood (versus thinking) and weak
continuity in self-experience when identifying and treating this diso
rder.
