Abstract
A new asymptotic scheme is presented through the computation of [I2] a nd [I1I2] for waves behind a random phase screen with a power-law corr elation. It illustrates the basic idea for an effective new expansion technique that yields a considerably faster convergent asymptotic seri es for intensity moments in the strong-fluctuation regime. This scheme can also be generalized to the computation of various statistical mom ents of intensity and log-intensity in continuous media with a power-l aw spectrum.
