Kv. Yumashev et al., OPTICAL TRANSIENT INDUCED ABSORPTION IN ULTRASMALL PARTICLES OF AMORPHOUS SELENIUM, Optics communications, 125(1-3), 1996, pp. 59-64
Nonlinear optical properties of ultrasmall particles of amorphous sele
nium were studied by pump-probe picosecond technique. The effect of in
duced absorption with maximum around 2.1 eV was observed. It relaxes c
ompletely according to a monoexponential law with decay time similar t
o 550 ps. Several possible mechanisms for this effect are considered a
nd absorption due to trapped electron-hole pairs is proposed to be the
main mechanism responsible for the transient induced absorption.
