Experimental spectra from the coincident detection of three nucleons a
fter the pion absorption in He-4 are displayed. The presence of a mech
anism with four nucleons participating in the absorption process is ma
de obvious. The total cross-sections for this absorption mode are: sig
ma(abs)(4NA) = (1.0+/-0.2) mb at T-pi = 120 MeV and sigma(abs)(4NA) =
(2.18+/-0.65) mb at T-pi = 210 MeV.
