Abstract
Several nanophases have been prepared by vaporization-condensation in a solar image furnace : binary oxides such a s gamma-Fe2O3, In2O3, SnO 2, ZnO and ternary oxides such as Zr1-xYxO2-delta. The vapor-condensat es have been characterized by X-ray diffraction and Transmission Elect ron Microscopy. Particle shapes and size distributions have been deter mined; strains, structural defects have been observed. The nanostructu re characteristics have been related to the thermokinetics conditions of the elaboration process which have been modelized.
