Abstract
The technique of sputtering and particle condensation in an inert gas atmosphere with subsequent particle compaction was applied for the pre paration of amorphous NiZr and NiTi. Positron lifetime measurements sh ow a considerably wider spectrum of structural free volumes in cluster -synthesized NiZr than in melt-spun and ball-milled alloys.
