Nickel and iron ultrafine powders have been produced by the method of
hydrogen reduction of the low-wafer hydroxides obtained by heterogeneo
us interaction between solid salt and alkaline solution. The suggested
method allows to obtain ultrafine powders with narrow particle size d
istribution and low impurity contents. Bulk samples based on nickel an
d iron ultrafine powders were produced by hot isostatic pressing and h
igh-temperature gas extrusion methods.
