Nanocrystalline magnetic phases obtained by a suitable annealing of am
orphous metallic ribbons are being extensively studied due to their at
tractive properties as soft magnetic materials. The influence of diffe
rent heat treatments on the crystallization behaviour of particles wit
h dimensions of the order of 10 nm in amorphous Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9 h
as been investigated using different techniques: differential scanning
calorimetry, thermogravimetry analysis under a magnetic field, transm
ission electron microscopy and high resolution electron microscopy.
