T. Graf et al., INFLUENCE OF NB CONCENTRATION ON STRUCTURE AND CRYSTALLIZATION ONSET OF AMORPHOUS FE(CU,NB)SIB FINEMET ALLOYS, Nanostructured materials, 6(1-4), 1995, pp. 469-472
Fe-Si-B alloys with small additions of Cu and Nb show a nanostructure
after a certain heat treatment. Due to the nanostructure, excellent so
ft magnetic properties appear together with nearly vanishing magnetost
riction. The most wellknown (standard) alloy is Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9.
We focus here on alloys containing 2 and 5 at% Nb and compare results
concerning the different crystalline compounds found after certain hea
t treatments and also the onset of crystallization with the standard a
lloy (3 at% Nb). The variation of the Nb content influences the onset
temperatures of nano- and microcrystallization. Also the crystallizati
on products vary depending on the content of Nb.
