Abstract
Loxoprofen sodium (sodium 2[4-(2-oxocyclopentylmethyl) phenyl] dehydra te; CAS #68767-14-6) is a nonsteroidal, inflammatory drug marketed onl y in Japan. A case report describes its association with an acute asth matic death with features resembling those evoked by similar drugs. Th e analytic methodology is reported. The blood levels of loxoprofen wer e in the therapeutic range. The tissue concentrations are reported.
