Abstract
A method for synthesizing 3-acetyl-2-amino-4-pyridone has been suggest ed. The synthesis involves the condensation of dimethylformamide dimet hylacetal at the NH2 group of diphenylboron chelate diacetylketene ami nal followed by its intramolecular cyclization under the action of NaO Me in MeOH.
