Tc. Elston et Cr. Doering, NUMERICAL AND ANALYTICAL STUDIES OF NONEQUILIBRIUM FLUCTUATION-INDUCED TRANSPORT PROCESSES, Journal of statistical physics, 83(3-4), 1996, pp. 359-383
We present a numerical simulation algorithm that is well suited for th
e study of noise-induced transport processes. The algorithm has two ad
vantages over standard techniques: (1) it preserves the property of de
tailed balance for systems in equilibrium and (2) it provides an effic
ient method for calculating nonequilibrium currents. Numerical results
are compared with exact solutions from two different types of correla
tion ratchets, and are used to verify the results of perturbation calc
ulations done on a three-state ratchet.
