Abstract
Mossbauer effect and resistivity measurements indicate three stages of crystallization in iron-boron metglass Fe83B17. During the structural relaxation stage (300-625K), the incipient crystallization produces a boron-rich Fe-B phase. In crystallization region (625-660K) alpha-Fe and t-Fe3B phases are produced. In structure coarsening stage (660-925 K) the production of o-Fe3B and Fe23B6 takes place o-Fe3B phase is fou nd to be a stable while t-Fe3B is a metastable phase.
