Abstract
Resistivity measurements and Mossbauer spectroscopy indicate that the as-quenched Fe88B12 and Fe72B28 melt-spun alloys are note completely c rystallized. This is not in agreements with the earlier observations o n the same alloys by DTXD measurements. In as-quenched Fe88B12 alpha-F e, o-Fe3B and amorphous phases are found while in Fe72B28 the phases f ound are alpha-Fe and t-Fe3B. The phases o-Fe3B and t-Fe3B are metasta ble while t-Fe2B is stable upto 825K.
