Abstract
160 Gb/s (8 x 20 Gb/s PRBS NRZ channels) have been transmitted on a 28 -nm optical bandwidth over three DSF amplifier spans for a total dista nce of 238 km, The dispersion management technique, based upon the use of standard fiber, includes both partial in-line compensation and ind ividual channel compensation at the output of the receiver demultiplex er.
