Mj. Vaughan et Rc. Compton, INJECTION-LOCKED 28-GHZ OSCILLATOR ARRAY WITH DISK-CYLINDER REFLECTOR, IEEE microwave and guided wave letters, 6(5), 1996, pp. 196-198
A 28-GHz endfire (modified Vivaldi) active antenna is described that c
ontains a secondary, circularly polarized patch antenna for reception
of an external injection-locking signal. Three of these devices are us
ed to characterize an octagonal cylindrical reflector designed for cre
ating an omni-directional transmitter suitable for use in point-to-mul
tipoint communication systems, The experiments provide data that valid
ates the approach used to simulate the azimuthal radiation patterns. T
hese simulations are then extended to predict the patterns from a full
eight-element array.
