Abstract
Three ferns are described from lower Miocene sediments of the Manuheri kia Group, New Zealand. One of these is compared with a species in the extant New Zealand Blechnum ''procerum/capense/kiokio'' complex, B. c f. procerum. Pneumatopteris sp. (distinct from the extant New Zealand P. pennigera (Forst. f.) Holttum, Thelypteridaceae) is recorded. A fur ther form is of unknown affinity.
