Gm. Xiong et al., WETTING TRANSITIONS OF THIN MULTILAYER FILMS WITH OPPOSITE SURFACE FIELDS, Communications in Theoretical Physics, 25(2), 1996, pp. 171-178
Wetting transitions of very thin three-dimensional ferromagnetic Ising
films with opposite surface fields are studied by using a self-consis
tent cluster method. The main result is that the wetting transitions o
f a thin film depend on the thickness L of the film. When L is small t
he quasiwetting is suppressed and only the layering exists; while as L
greater than or equal to L(C) (L(C) = 20 in our model), both the quas
iwetting and the layering can be observed. The question of critical-po
int shift in the thin film is also discussed.
