LANDSCAPE CHANGES IN THE BESKID-WYSPOWY MTS, POLISH FLYSCH CARPATHIANS

Contemporary landscape changes are described. A detailed map of geocom plexes is presented. Four types of terrains are characterized. The fol lowing most important landscape changes are evidenced: river training, diminution of timber architecture, forest clearing and increase of yo ung forest, decline of fir and beech and increase of spruce, increase of trees in the steeper pastures and meadows. Space distribution of th ose changes is analysed.
