Abstract
Diastereoselective epoxidation of 3- and -allyl-1,2-O-isopropylidene-a lpha-D-glycofuranoses (2, 6, 10, and 14) with mCPBA has been reported. Asymmetric induction in the resulting products varies (40 to 100%) wi th the position and configuration of allyloxy group in sugars.
