S. Baltembe et al., ISOLATION OF THE ANTIINFLAMMATORY PRINCIPLE OF HERACLEUM CANDICANS, Indian journal of chemistry. Sect. B: organic chemistry, including medical chemistry, 35(5), 1996, pp. 518-519
Bioactivity-guided fractionation of the dichloromethane extract of the
shoots of Heracleum candicons leads to the isolation of heraclenin (i
mperatorin oxide) (1) as the anti-inflammatory principle. The compound
has treen chosen as a lead structure for the synthesis of analogues f
or anti-inflammatory activity.
