Abstract
In this communication we present the order parameter values of the cha in part of the compound 5- (trans -4- heptylcyclohexyl) -2- (4- cyanop henyl) pyrimidine (HCCPP) in the nematic phase, from the subtle featur es in the X-ray diffraction pattern and its refractive index anisotrop y data.
