Abstract
Recent advances made in the field of pulsed laser deposited superlatti ces made up of perovskite oxides are reviewed. The superconducting pro perties and the effect of adjacent layers in ultra-thin YBCO are studi ed in YBCO/(PrxY1-x)BCO superlattices. We describe the effects of laye ring in (La0.7Ba0.3)MnO3 for the purposes of fundamental studies and p ossible applications of these newly recognized colossal magnetoresista nce materials.
