Jd. Piot et al., TAUSSIG-BING MALFORMATION WITH STRADDLING OF THE 2 ARTERIOVENTRICULARVALVES - ECHOCARDIOGRAPHIC FINDINGS IN ONE CASE, Archives des maladies du coeur et des vaisseaux, 86(5), 1993, pp. 631-634
The authors report the case of an infant with the Taussig-Bing malform
ation and straddling of the two atrioventricular valves, the diagnosis
of which was made by echocardiography and confirmed at surgery. Anato
mic repair of the transposed great arteries was preceded by reconstruc
tion of the interventricular septum which left the abnormal tricuspid
subvalvular apparatus in the right ventricle and the abnormal mitral s
ubvalvular apparatus in the left ventricle. Postoperative Doppler echo
cardiography confirmed the absence of left ventricular outflow obstruc
tion.
