Abstract
The effect of electromagnetic retardation and screening of van der Waa ls forces by an electrolyte on the forces of attraction between two dr ops was studied. The conditions of breaking were analyzed for a double t of drops with aggregation in the secondary minimum. Experimental stu dy of the possible relationships between the sizes of drops in sedimen ting doublets may prove to be an important technique for studying the electromagnetic retardation and screening of molecular forces of attra ction.
