SURFACTANT FOAM SEPARATION AT THE LOWER CONCENTRATION LIMIT

The foam separation process at the lower concentration limit is studie d, and a technique for its determination is suggested for foams with v arious type of foam films under dynamic foaming conditions, A correlat ion between the lower concentration limit of surfactant foam separatio n and the starting concentration of black spots in microscopic foam fi lms is established for the systems where they are formed, as well as t he relationship between the concentration coefficient and the concentr ation dependence of foam film and foam lifetime (tau(p)). The concentr ation region, where foam destruction increases the concentration coeff icient, is found.
