Abstract
A procedure involving acidification, filtration, and reneutralization was especially developed by CANMET and the Silver Division of Agnico-E agle Mines to treat an industrial waste cyanide solution. Unlike the s tandard cyanide destruction methods currently used by industry, the ab ove procedure permits the recovery of cyanide and metals. The water is also recycled, which is important from an environmental point of view because no liquid effluent is produced.
