We study low-voltage dynamics in highly discrete one-dimensional array
s of Josephson junctions. In particular, we focus on the resonant solu
tions emerging from the locking between the time period of the oscilla
tions of the single junction with the spatial period of the wave propa
gating across the array. We find that the average voltage across the a
rray scales as V-proportional to(kappa-kappa(c))(1/2), where kappa(c)
is the critical value of the coupling. The connections to high voltage
