Abstract
In the preceding comment to our paper, Overhof and Thomas compare our calculation with their results obtained by means of percolation theory . They argue that our temperature dependence results from an improper averaging of site energies. In reply, we reexamine our previous treatm ent and outline an effective-medium approximation that copes with the difficulties of the previous approach.
