Abstract
We propose a Maxwellian-type initial density matrix for a quantum part icle placed in an Ohmic environment. The resulting positional Brownian variance is analytically separated into a classical contribution of C handrasekhar, and a quantum correction term depending upon (h) over ba r and the input width.
