Abstract
Linopirdine is a pharmacologically potent drug which stimulates centra l nervous system neurotransmitter release. A facile process used to sy nthesize linopirdine on a commercial manufacturing scale consisting of seven chemical steps with only a single isolated intermediate is desc ribed.
