Abstract
We consider the problem of quantum impurity scattering for a particle on a lattice via a non-perturbative approach. We calculate the weak-co upling limit in the case of a directed lattice (tree) and we show what problems arise in the more general case due to recurrence effects. Ou r methods relate the problem to that of a random walk in a random envi ronment.
