Abstract
The polarization dependence of the stimulated photon echo due to excit ons has been studied in GaSe. A quantum beat modulation can be observe d in the stimulated photon echo signals. The polarization dependence o f the quantum beat is also studied. The quantum beat and the polarizat ion interference are experimentally distinguished by the time-integrat ed stimulated photon echo.
