Abstract
Two new species of Hymenochaetaceae are described from Bonin Is., Japa n. Phellinus macroferreus sp. nov. is characterized by effused-reflexe d, woody basidiocarps and cylindrical spores. Phellinus velutinus sp. nov. is characterized by resupinate and fibrous basidiocarps, long acu minate setae, and abundant setal hyphae. Cultural characteristics of P . macroferreus are also described.
