An electrochemical study on N,N'-Propylene-bis-(salicylideneiminato) M
n(III) was performed using cyclic voltammetry with convolution-deconvo
lution and digital simulation in phosphate buffer solutions of pH valu
es ranging from 5-9.5 at a hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE). The
reduction pathway of the investigated complex shows that a moderately
fast transfer of one electron is followed by a very fast chemical reac
tion (E(q)C(irr) scheme). The electrochemical parameters have been det
ermined experimentally and via digital simulation experiments.
