Abstract
The C-N method of solving the transport equation is extended here to m ultigroup problems with anisotropic scattering and applied to the calc ulation of the albedo of a semi-infinite homogeneous medium. The resul ts are in excellent agreement with those obtained by other methods. A benchmark is proposed for a problem with upscattering and a strong ang le-energy correlation.
