Abstract
In this paper, decentralized stabilization of interconnected systems b ased on quasi-block diagonal dominance of transfer function matrices h as been examined. Some previous results are refined and extended to th e case where diagonal blocks are not necessarily square. It has been s hown that the refined stability result leads to a necessary and suffic ient condition for robust decentralized stability for a class of addit ively perturbed interconnected systems. Some design considerations for decentralized controllers are discussed.
