Abstract
When considering carpal tunnel syndrome in the work place, one has to consider time lost from work, loss of productivity, medical costs, cos ts of vocational rehabilitation, the increase cost of goods due to the increase in workers' compensation insurance, and the overall effect o f compensability to our country's economic competitiveness and our bal ance of payments.
