Abstract
The anatomy of the palmaris brevis is discussed. In failed cases of pr imary carpal tunnel release, the addition of the highly vascular palma ris brevis turnover flap as an adjunct to internal neurolysis discoura ges scarring and provides a nutrient bed for axonal regeneration. Adva ntages and disadvantages of the palmaris turnover muscle are reviewed.
