Abstract
This note presents transient motion of a viscous and incompressible fl uid in a vertical channel due to free convective currents occuring as a result of application of constant heat flux at one wall and constant temperature on other wall. The method of Laplace transform is used to solve the problem. The transient behaviour of flow on velocity and te mperature fields are shown on the graphs.
