M. Deluca et al., FAR-INFRARED EMISSION FROM DUST IN THE BOK GLOBULE BARNARD-335, Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, 262(3), 1993, pp. 805-811
By using a detailed radiative transfer model, we show that the observe
d far-infrared spectrum of the Bok globule Barnard 335 can be explaine
d by dust emission whose only energy source is the interstellar radiat
ion field. The anomalous excess radiation observed around 60 mum in B3
35 and other globules can be accounted for by a 'nonconventional' dust
component, the very small grains already proposed for other celestial
objects.
