Aj. Flueck et al., INVESTIGATING THE INSTALLED REAL POWER TRANSFER CAPABILITY OF A LARGE-SCALE POWER-SYSTEM UNDER A PROPOSED MULTIAREA INTERCHANGE SCHEDULE USING CPFLOW, IEEE transactions on power systems, 11(2), 1996, pp. 883-889
This paper studies the real power transfer capability, under multiarea
interchange schedules, of large scale power systems. An improved vers
ion of the simulation tool CPFLOW computes a series of operating point
s of the power system under a proposed multiarea interchange schedule.
The steady state feasibility of the computed points is based on typic
al power system operating criteria. CPFLOW traces the curves of soluti
ons via an efficient and robust continuation algorithm. The case study
involves eight participating areas in a thirty area power system with
3493 buses. Additionally, the new generator modelling capabilities of
CPFLOW will be presented here.
