Abstract
We describe a wavelength-addressed eight-element fibre-optic true time delay line implemented using ultraviolet-inscribed Bragg gratings. A mininum time delay of less than 20 ps is selectable, and the delay lin e is applicable to rf phased array beam forming at frequencies up to a bout 1.5 GHz with 10 degrees phase resolution.
