Abstract
The director deformations induced by electric field in weakly anchored nematic and chiral. nematic layers were studied numerically. The dire ctor distributions were calculated for various parameters of the syste m, by minimizing the free energy in the course of an iterative process . The earlier qualitative results were confirmed.
