A. Sanroman, INFLUENCE OF NITROGEN CONCENTRATION IN TH E PRODUCTION OF CITRIC-ACIDBY IMMOBILIZED ASPERGILLUS-NIGER IN A FLUIDIZED-BED REACTOR, Afinidad, 53(462), 1996, pp. 131-135
In this work, the production of citric acid by immobilized Aspergillus
niger operating in a fluided-bed reactor with completed recirculation
had been studied. The immobilization technique employed was the adsor
ption in polyurethane foam. In this conditions, the influence of the n
itrogen had been analized. The evolution of production and comsuption
along the fermentation time indicated that the better concentration (1
6 g/L) was arrived when operated with fed batch of nitrogen at concent
ration in the reactor of 200 mg/L and aireation of 2 vvm.
