Abstract
Two new species of the genus Luperosaurus (Luperosaurus yasumai and Lu perosaurus serraticaudus) are described from Kalimantan and Sarawak, B orneo. Luperosaurus yasumai most closely resembles Luperosaurus joloen sis and Luperosaurus palawanensis but is distinct from any other conge neric species in having fewer scansors on toe IV (seven) and a. strong ly depressed tail. Luperosaurus serraticaudus differs from all other c ongeners except Luperosaurus brooksi and Luperosaurus browni in having an elongated head and body, roundish and flat or only slightly convex dorsal tubercles, and flat, imbricate or subimbricate ventrals. Luper osaurus serraticaudus differs from L. brooksi and L. browni in having greater numbers of scales bordering the nostril (six), supralabials (1 5) and infralabials (13-14).
