Abstract
How are beekeepers going to keep colonies that survived the winter fro m succumbing to parasitic mites this year? Assuming that both mites (v arroa and tracheal) are prevalent almost everywhere, it is essential f or beekeepers to have a plan to reduce mite levels and keep bees healt hy. Both mites are now a worldwide problem not affecting just U.S. bee keepers; there are many researchers working diligently on the problem of suppressing mites so bees can survive.
