Abstract
We describe a search for diffuse emission from several candidate sourc es of gamma-rays with energies greater than or similar to 100 TeV, usi ng the Chicago Air Shower Array / Michigan Muon Array (CASA-MIA) exper iment. Since March 1990, CASA-MIA has recorded over 2.0 x 10(9) air sh ower events. Searches for diffuse emission are based upon the muon con tent of air showers. Candidate source regions include molecular clouds in the galaxy and the galactic plane. Results from CASA-MIA are compa red to predicted diffuse emission.
