K. Ramanathan et al., DIELECTRIC SPECTROSCOPIC STUDIES ON POLYPYRROLE GLUCOSE-OXIDASE FILMS, Journal of applied polymer science, 60(13), 1996, pp. 2309-2316
An investigation was made into the dielectric spectroscopic characteri
stics of p-toluene sulfonate (PTS) doped polypyrrole (PPY) films in th
e presence and absence of immobilized glucose oxidase (GOX) in three d
ifferent configurations: Al-PTS-PPY-Al, Al-PTS-PPY/GOX-Al, and Al-PTS-
PPY/GOX/beta-D-glucose-Al, respectively. Measurement of dielectric los
s and capacitance yielded valuable information about the dielectric pr
operties of GOX immobilized in PTS doped PPY films. The effect of both
the temperature and varying beta-D-glucose concentrations on the mobi
lity of the charge carriers in these films was also systematically stu
died. (C) 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
