Abstract
An epidemiological survey using a postal questionnaire revealed a 1-ye ar period prevalence rate of 1.5 official juvenile sexual offenders pe r 1,000 males aged 12-17 within Oxfordshire (.85 per 1,000 12-17 year olds overall). The majority of sexually abusive youth were male, with a family history of neglect, physical, and/or sexual abuse. Behavioral and psychological problems were common.
